INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL
Antique Silver Medal (plaque) from 1914, commemorating the outbreak of World War I.
It was made by the renowned Swiss medal workshop Huguenin (or Huguenin Frères, Le Locle), as evidenced by the maker's hallmark in the lower right corner. The obverse features a detailed bas-relief depicting a Gallic rooster (the symbol of France) fiercely battling a German eagle.
Heraldry:
In the background are the coats of arms of the Entente countries (including Great Britain and the Russian Empire) beneath the large inscribed date "1914." The edge bears the inscription "Argint" and the Hallmark
