Description from the seller

Important pair of monumental 1780-1820 period candle holders in full gilt bronze (16 kg), finely chased with 5 lights each, for 10 in total.
A sought-after and important pair of high-manufacture candle holders crafted in solid gilt bronze, finely chased and with historic mercury gilding, characterized by a rich Baroque-style decoration with volutes, acanthus leaves, grape clusters, floral elements and mythological figures, five of which support the candlesticks.
The structure of each single candelabrum features a substantial and imposing central shaft, richly engraved, and 5 moving and harmonious arms supported by a perforated triangular base with ornamental feet and mythological legs, indicating craftsman-level workmanship of the highest standard.
The bronze chasing is done entirely by hand with great depth and precision, a quality now rare to find on the market.
The pair as a whole makes a striking impression with extraordinary, excellent visual impact, making them ideal for furnishing rooms of high representational importance, historic residences, prestigious properties and antique collections.
The condition of both is excellent; there are no recent restorations and a fascinating patina of time is present.
Authentic objects of great charm destined for discerning collectors.
Historical value commensurate with the importance, rarity, and quality of the work, only for connoisseurs.
