The Canon FD 50mm f/1.4 S.S.C. is a fast standard prime from Canon's manual-focus FD system, introduced in 1973 with the original breech-lock mount. Mount & Compatibility
This lens uses the Canon FD mount and is fully native to Canon FD-mount film SLR bodies (e.g. AE-1, A-1, F-1). It is a manual-focus lens.
Note: The Canon FD mount is NOT compatible with modern Canon EOS (EF/RF) cameras without a corrective optical adapter, due to the short FD flange distance. On mirrorless bodies (Sony E, Fujifilm X, Micro Four Thirds, Canon RF, etc.) it can be used with a simple FD-to-mirrorless adapter.
