Signed; Taku Aramasa - American Parody - 1977

"American Parody (Signed for Previous Owner)" is a photobook by Japanese photographer Taku Shinsho. Born in Tokyo in 1936.

In the 1960s, Shinsho worked as a graphic designer and personally took photographs as part of his training. One of these photographs caught the eye of photo editor Shoji Yamagishi, with whom he had a working relationship as a designer. It was published in "Camera Mainichi" in 1969, after which he transitioned to becoming a photographer.

While active in the fields of fashion and advertising, he has produced photobooks primarily featuring nude photography. This book is Shinsho's third, following "Erika" and "Patricia," and is a collection of images photographed in New York with Anita as the model. It blends parody elements using Superman, the American flag, and other motifs with Shinsho's characteristic graphic design elements, resulting in a beautiful photobook that utilizes both color and black-and-white gravure.
