Description from the seller
Famous Olivetti Studio 44, a semi-standard mechanical typewriter launched on the market by the Ivrea company in 1952, this model dates from 1956, the year of the new light blue color succeeding the 1952 beige. This model represents one of the milestones of postwar Italian industrial design, designed by the renowned architect and designer Marcello Nizzoli in collaboration with engineer Giuseppe Beccio; it was the device of choice for journalists and writers, effectively replacing the Lettera 22, among the most famous devotees of the Beppe Fenoglio edition.
As can be seen from the accompanying descriptive images, it is in incredible good condition, the movements and slides all function regularly, it has a major plus in the case (intact and beautiful) and in the precious instruction booklet (code 3950161M, 15 pages) accompanied by a black cover and in the case with the cleaning accessories. It will, as usual, be protected in a proper rigid case and sent to its new home.
