Description from the seller

In 1980, he meets Bambou who quickly becomes his new muse.

She models for Serge Gainsbourg, who in 1981 creates the magnificent photographic work titled:

« Serge Gainsbourg Bambou et les poupées »

Hardcover, clothbound, black dust jacket, all in excellent condition (see photos)

A book of photographs taken by Serge Gainsbourg, which he illustrates with a story blending surrealism and eroticism, written by his hand and with photographs of Bambou, his last companion, accompanied by life-size dolls and a wrought-iron bed.

Striking and moving, as is the whole of Gainsbourg’s work!

Daniel Filipacchi, born January 12, 1928 in the 14th arrondissement of Paris, is the honorary president of Hachette Filipacchi Médias, of which he has made the world’s largest magazine publisher. He is the son of publisher Henri Filipacchi.

His life and career have revolved around his passions: jazz, photography, and art. We especially remember the host of the radio program Salut les Copains, and the former photographer who bought a flagging Paris Match to turn it into one of France’s most coveted and innovative magazines. For years, he built the Hachette Filipacchi press empire.

He was also recognized as one of the world’s leading experts and collectors of surrealist art. His collection was the subject of a major exhibition at the Guggenheim Museum in New York in 1999.

Book in very good condition, dust jacket somewhat worn and a very light bump on the top-right corner
