A large Meissen hard-paste porcelain vase featuring a finely hand-painted winter landscape.
The decoration depicts a quiet moonlit landscape with snow-covered trees, distant fields and softly graduated shades of blue, green and white. The deep cobalt-blue neck gradually transitions into the atmospheric landscape painted around the body of the vase.
The composition is associated with the artistic design of Heinz Werner and reflects the poetic, dreamlike character of modern Meissen decorative porcelain.
The underside bears the Meissen crossed swords mark. Additional handwritten and impressed production markings are also present on the base.
