Description from the seller

Elegant wall-mounted holy-water font made of 925 sterling silver, of Spanish manufacture and dated to the mid-20th century (circa 1950-1970).

The piece features a refined pierced design with neoclassical inspiration. At the top is depicted the scene of the Annunciation, with the Virgin Mary kneeling in prayer, surrounded by cherubs, floral garlands, and rich vegetal decoration executed with great detail.

The lower cup is ornamented in relief with the Agnus Dei (Lamb of God bearing the cross), one of the most representative symbols of Christianity, accompanied by Rococo-style vegetal motifs that further enrich the composition.

It retains the 925 hallmark, certifying its manufacture in precious metal of the highest quality. Its careful execution and its iconography make it a very attractive piece for both collectors of religious plate and enthusiasts of sacred art and devotional decoration.

It is in good condition, with slight surface marks and a natural patina in keeping with its age, without structural damage.
