Solid silver box in 875 grade (84 zolotniki) from Iran, Isfahan attribution, with a hand-painted enamel Persian miniature on the lid and an engraved vegetal and geometric motif on the body, dating to the 1950s–1960s, measuring 3 cm high, 8 cm wide and 18 cm deep and weighing 433 g, in very good condition with a small chip in the enamel decoration.

Antique solid sterling Persian box 875/84 zolotniki with hand-painted enamel miniature – Isfahan School – 1950s–1960s
Magnificent collectible box made from solid silver 875 thousandths, equivalent to 84 zolotniki, decorated with an extraordinary Persian miniature executed entirely by hand following the artistic tradition of the prestigious Isfahan school.
The lid features a refined oriental scene: a graceful caravan of camels crosses a grand monumental square surrounded by turquoise-domed mosques, tall cypresses and historic buildings, with snow-capped mountains in the background. The composition recalls the famous urban views of Isfahan, long considered one of the greatest cultural and artistic centers of the Islamic world.
The quality of the painting is exceptional. Each figure has been rendered with great precision using extremely fine brushes, creating a composition full of depth, light, and color. The intense tones of the enamel, the delicacy of the architectural details, and the color balance turn the lid into a true miniature work of art.
The body of the box is entirely made of solid silver and decorated with a fine continuous manual Persian-inspired engraving, composed of elegant vegetal and geometric motifs that run around the entire perimeter of the piece. The interior retains an excellent polished finish that reflects the high level of Iranian metalwork.
Boxes of this type were produced by artisanal workshops in Isfahan and are one of the most valued manifestations of Persian decorative art of the 20th century, where traditional silversmithing, miniature painting, and artistic enameling converge.
