Ritual objects - Fon - Togo

Five ceremonial pottery objects, used in the "vodun" rituals in the Fon community in Togo. There are 3 pottery covers, placed over pots and with ritual decorations on top. Often these covers are poured over with special liquids to communicate with the gods. Diam. 19 x 10 x 10 cm.
The two white pottery figurines serve the same function in this "vodun"- religion. These man-like figures are placed on traditional altars and poured over with white kaolin. Height.; 11,5 x 12 cm.
Beautiful collectors items, because these are quite difficult to find. Collected in Togo in the late 1990,s.
