This set hails from the early Art Deco period (the 1910s/1920s) and stands out for its refined, machine-engraved guilloché; a beautifully continuous double chain-and-arch motif surrounded by clean horizontal lines.

Because the major European glass powerhouses of that era—such as Glasfabriek Leerdam, Val Saint Lambert and Baccarat—produced this type of refined luxury designs in virtually identical molds and patterns, this service is a wonderful and representative example of the zenith of European glass art. The goblets rest on a slender stem with a subtle glass knop.

Magical Light Spectacle (High-Manganese):
During the photo shoot under a 365nm UV lamp, these historic glasses transform into a fabulous light show. Thanks to the exceptionally high, historical manganese content in the antique crystal, the matte double guillochés and the solid bases glow intensely and bright green. The geometric pattern refracts light in a way that under 365nm hardly falls short of uranium glass!
