AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Small Mexican 925 sterling silver box with blue cabochon, 20th century

Elegant decorative box of small dimensions, made in 925 sterling silver and manufactured in Mexico.

The piece features a square shape with rounded corners and a hinged lid. The top is decorated with a circular blue cabochon of intense color, probably lapis lazuli, mounted in a silver bezel and surrounded by a corded braided ornament.

The design combines simple lines with a central artisanal decoration, characteristic of Mexican silverware from the second half of the 20th century.

Inside the contrasts are preserved:
• MEXICO
• 925
• other workshop hallmarks partially legible.

The stone has not been gemologically analyzed, so its identification as lapis lazuli is based solely on its appearance.

• Country of origin: Mexico
• Era: second half of the 20th century
• Material: 925 sterling silver
• Decoration: blue cabochon, probably lapis lazuli
• Weight: 22 g
• Length: 2.5 cm
