Coffee and tea service - Tin - Gunnar Havstad, Art-Deco

Beautiful, rare, old, complete Art Deco coffee and tea service by Gunnar Havstad*, from Aanund in Norway, dating to around 1935. (Also depicted in the Norsk Folkemuseum!) Spherical, made of pewter, with solid oak handles on the pot and the creamer. All three items, on the underside, bear the Havstad logo as well as Pewter Norway. *Gunnar Havstad (1901–1973) was a Norwegian sculptor, pewterer, designer and author, best known for his innovative works with pewter and sheet metal. In the mid-20th century, he combined artistic form with functional objects.
