Model ship - De Zeven Provinciën - Silver ship 'The Seven Provinces'

Detailed silver miniature model of a three-masted ship (De Zeven Provinciën) with full rigging, double masts, bowsprit with staysails and pennants. The model is mounted on a wooden pedestal.

Solid silver, fineness 835/1000 (second fineness). Weight about 700 grams.

The piece bears several Dutch hallmarks: a lion in a hexagon (Dutch silver hallmark), a walking lion with Roman numeral II (fineness mark 835/1000, used from 1953), a master mark with the letter P and year letter P (c. 1950). Additionally there are decorative hallmarks in the export-silver style — a well-known practice among Schoonhoven silversmiths.

Likely manufactured by a Schoonhoven silversmith, mid-20th century. Schoonhoven has long been the center of Dutch silversmithing and is known for this type of detailed miniature ships.

Not complete/damaged: the rigging shows damage in several places and one mast is no longer securely attached. The piece is otherwise unrestored and in its original condition.
