Antique Wrought Iron Torchère Finely Hand Worked by Hand
Important parade torchère entirely made of wrought iron, finely handcrafted. The structure features an elegant central twisting stem resting on a tripod base, also twisted, which gives dynamism and solidity to the whole.
The upper part is embellished with a rich composition of volutes, scrolls and ornamental motifs forged by hand, with numerous candle holders arranged on multiple levels. Of particular decorative value are the figurative applications depicting stylized warrior helmets heads and birds with spread wings, as well as floral elements and spiral motifs that enrich the entire structure.
The craftsmanship is evident in the individually carved and hammered details, which give movement and a strong scenographic impact to the piece. The dark patina of the iron, consistent with the period, enhances its ancient character and authenticity.
