Khmer-style earthenware food pots from Cambodia. These are archaeological finds from a riverbed. They date to the first half of the 19th century.
The Khmer population is an Austroasiatic ethnic group from Cambodia and also one of the oldest ethnic groups in the region. Theravada Buddhism is predominantly practiced.
According to an ancient legend, the Varnan Dynasty, ancient Cambodia, arose when an Indian Brahmin married the celestial nymph 'Mera'. This union laid the foundation for the Khmer and Cambodia.
The old food pots are in good condition. Due to use and, of course, antiquity they have distinctive outward characteristics.
The dimensions are:
high 8 cm x diameter 15 cm
high 6 cm x diameter 17 cm
high 6.5 cm x diameter 16.5 cm
high 6.5 x diameter 14.5 cm
