Because the 350D is a digital SLR, you can only use the optical viewfinder when taking a photo. There are two LCD screens available; these are there to read the main settings such as shutter speed, aperture, and ISO value, and to view taken photos and change settings.

The EOS 350D is a so-called body. That means this device requires a separate lens to take photos. With compact cameras, the camera has one fixed lens. With single-lens reflex cameras, different kinds of lenses can be used, which generally leads to a better photo result.
