19th-century Portuguese sofa in mahogany wood, with a light campaign-style/foldable structure, resting on turned legs and cylindrical crosspieces. The backrest and seat are upholstered in beige/gold damask fabric with vegetal decoration (later). Sides feature textile elements/cords of support and turned wooden terminals. The piece presents a strong decorative presence, unusual lines, and an elegant contrast between the dark mahogany and the light fabric. The reverse shows a visible structure, wooden fastenings, and a rear panel in light fabric. 89 x 130 x 70 cm.
