Very rare and authentic brass "Euk" Easy Starter, manufactured by the famous S. Smith & Sons (MA) Ltd. in London (England) during the period 1910–1920.
This type of fuel injector/primer was mounted on the dash of luxury automobiles and motorcycles in the pre-war era (e.g., Vintage Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Lagonda and Douglas). It was used to pump fuel directly into the inlet manifold to help start the engine in cold weather.
Details & Condition:
Equipped with the original brass nameplate with clear inscriptions: "EUK" EASY STARTER - PATENTED THROUGHOUT THE WORLD - SMITHS - 179-185 GT. PORTLAND ST. LONDON W.
Complete with the original pump lever/knob on the top, lower mounting bracket, and the brass shutoff/stop valve on the side.
In unpolished, original condition with a striking patina of age. No major dents or serious damage. The mechanical operation has not been tested; sold as historical automobilia / collectible.
