Philips – Fabriekslamp – ca. 1950 - Lamp - Enamel

Original large factory lamp made of enameled steel.
The lamp was produced around 1950. This is visible from the Philips logo on the front.
This logo was used by Philips from 1950 to 1968.
The interesting thing is that this one was actually used in a factory in Friesland.
On the rear you can see the traces of it. They are tangible burnt specks.
The lamp is well cleaned. It has a 10 cm large white porcelain socket.

Royal Philips, usually simply called Philips, is a Dutch electronics concern.
Founded in 1891, now based in Eindhoven, the company still produces medical devices but its origin lies in the production of incandescent lamps that made it famous worldwide.
In photos 3 and 4 you can see the old factory and an advertisement from 1927.
In the past the company developed and produced small household appliances and consumer electronics such as radios, tape recorders, stereo equipment, CD players (until 2014) and TV sets but also microchips (until 2006, later as NXP), classic CRTs (until 2002, in a joint venture with LG) automation subsidiary Origin (until 2000, sold to Atos), the record label PolyGram (until 1998, became part of Universal Music Group), lithographic machines to make wafers for the chip industry (until 1995, later as ASML), computers and white goods, large household appliances such as washing machines, refrigerators, tumble dryers (until 1991, afterwards part of Whirlpool).

This lot has been carefully cleaned and will be carefully packed, shipped registered and insured (with Track & Trace code so you can track the shipment). Pickup in (Ridderkerk, South Holland) is also possible. I have delicious freshly ground coffee.
