QUARTZ var. Jacinto de Compostela on matrix - Height: 6.4 cm - Width: 9.4 cm- 131 g - (1)

This piece is a finely prepped Spanish classic. Specimens of Jacinto de Compostela quartz from Chella have been extracted and sold since the early 80's, but rarely do they ever get properly prepped as is the case for this example. The piece is absolutely flawless and I managed to keep it fully repair-free. The piece itself consists of tiny globular groups and single lustrous balls of hematoid quartz that have been exposed out of a crystalline gypsum matrix that also appears to be highly included with red clay.
