Description from the seller

Offered to the collector of unique photography artifacts: a rare Colibri subminiature spy camera, produced by the German manufacturer Knoedler in 1952. This extremely compact device is made of black plastic and is in a remarkably neat optical state. Unlike many surviving examples, the rear of this unit shows very minimal plastic warping, which still gives the camera a nice appearance. (extra photos taken to illustrate this). The camera is equipped with a fixed-focus f4.5 20mm lens and a shutter with a single fixed speed (about 1/30s). The mechanism functions properly. The camera originally used special 16mm film in a paper sleeve, enough for 12 exposures of 13x13mm. Special feature: This lot comes with the extremely rare, original gray-blue cardboard packaging with the iconic imprint "SPY CAMERA". The packaging shows light signs of aging consistent with its age, but is structurally completely intact and forms a valuable addition for the serious collector.

Specifications:
Manufacturer: Knoedler (Germany)
Model: Colibri (First edition)
Year of production: 1952
Lens: Fixed-focus f4.5 / 20mm
Film format: 16mm subminiature cassette
Accessories: Original cardboard box

Camera works as intended. The shutter responds well; the lens and viewfinder are clear

Please examine the photos carefully for an accurate impression of the cosmetic condition of both the camera and the packaging.
