Description from the seller
FIAT 124 SUPER AMERICA (1979)
GENERAL:
Fiat 124 Coupé Convertible (Spider) from 1979 in the Super America version. This unit has been in regular operation in recent years and many improvements were made for proper running. The designation Super America is associated with the versions made for the American market exported in the late 70s, characterized by the 2.0-liter twin-cam engines (1995 cc) designed by Aurelio Lampredi and the larger bumpers to meet North American safety regulations of that era. This model, whose iconic design was by Pininfarina, stands out for its excellent dynamics, agile on-road behavior, and a very elastic and fun-to-drive double-overhead-cam engine.
CARROCERÍA Y PINTURA:
Painted in midnight blue combined with ivory interior and blue soft top. Recently polished and shown a very good shine with barely any defects related to use and the passage of time. The convertible top, which is relatively new, has a 10 cm tear. The rear window has good visibility.
BAJOS:
Underbody is in good condition, but shows some areas of superficial rust, which are not a cause for concern.
MECÁNICA:
The powerful 2,000 cc engine runs very smoothly since, during restoration, a tune-up was performed and all necessary parts were replaced for proper operation. It starts very well both cold and hot, and despite not being driven for several months, it starts without problems. Its 5-speed gearbox shifts smoothly and has no trouble engaging any gear, making it reliable for plans and delivering very good driving sensations. As with most cars over 40 years old, it weeps a bit but nothing worrisome, nor oil leaks.
INTERIOR:
The interior was renewed a few years ago in bone-colored faux leather and shows virtually no wear. The floor mats are in good condition and the entire dashboard is also in good condition.
DOCUMENTACIÓN:
It has just passed the ITV (vehicle inspection) without remarks, so everything is in order for the enjoyment of the car.
RECOGIDA / ENTREGA:
The car is located in Madrid, Spain. If it is won, the seller offers 20 days of storage.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
