Old pharmacy jar or apothecary bottle made of transparent blown glass, with an original glass lid and a solid knob.
The piece features an ovoid body on a circular foot and a flared cap, a classic typology used in European pharmacies and drugstores for the storage of herbs, medicinal spices, and dry products. Bottles of this type were widely used in France, Italy, and other Western European countries during the 19th century.
The glass shows small bubbles, slight optical irregularities, and variations typical of artisanal work. No mold marks are visible, which is consistent with production by traditional blown glass techniques. Comparable pieces are cataloged as French and European pharmacy jars from the 19th and early 20th centuries.
