Description from the seller
Sansui SC-2002
Vintage stereo cassette recorder (cassette deck) hi-fi produced in Japan by Sansui between 1977 and 1979. It is a rare, robust model highly sought after by vintage audio enthusiasts for its classic design and the build quality typical of the "Golden Era" of Hi-Fi.
Very nice are the two illuminated analog VU meters.
Tested extensively, it is fully functional.
The unit is internally set for 220 Volt operation despite the exterior markings indicating 120 Volt. The power outlet is also the classic 120 Volt type. An adapter is not provided.
Technical Main Features:
Head Configuration:
- 2-head system (1 combined record/playhead in Hard Permalloy, 1 erase head in ferrite).
Motor:
- Single DC motor with electronically controlled speed.
Signal-to-Noise Ratio (S/N):
- Greater than 60 dB with Dolby B noise reduction active.
Frequency Response:
- Normal tapes (LH): 30 Hz to 13,000 Hz.
- Chrome tapes (CrO₂): 30 Hz to 15,000 Hz.
Wow and Flutter: 0.1% WRMS.
Inputs: Line (70 mV / 100 kΩ) and Front Microphone (0.5 mV).
Outputs: Line (300 mV) and Front headphone jack.
Structure and Weight: Heavy, solid chassis with a net weight of no less than 8 kg, a characteristic that attests to its mechanical robustness.
