Oak octagonal coffee table in the Victorian English taste, in walnut, partridge-eye and mahogany, with inlays and brass hardware. Portugal, late 19th century. Side coffee table with an octagonal cut top, made in walnut, partridge-eye and mahogany. Top veneered in radial composition, forming a concentric geometric design, bordered by an inlaid hawthorn filet and a rootwood surround. Molded and carved edge with stylized vegetal motifs. Narrow waist, with a wavy profile, and molded recesses. Supported on four turned columns, with rings and bases partially gilded, joined to a quadripartite platform. Four arched and fluted feet, decorated with inlaid fillets, ending in brass fittings in the shape of sabots. Model inspired by Victorian English furniture from the second half of the 19th century, particularly octagonal center tables set on four columns and a quadripartite base. Dimensions: 60 x 60 x 60 cm
