Description from the seller

Pair of large outdoor cast iron candlesticks, dating from the late nineteenth century, circa 1880. These impressive torches stand out with their slender Neo-Gothic style silhouettes, featuring a flared wax pan with a scalloped rim, a detailed baluster stem with raised rings, and a curved tripod base richly adorned with scrolls and botanical motifs. Their solid cast iron construction ensures flawless stability against the elements, preventing your patio dinners from turning into an unexpected drama at the slightest gust of wind. Each piece displays a superb natural oxidation patina and faint remnants of old paint that highlight their authenticity and outdoor history. The overall condition is excellent for garden objects of this era, with no structural weaknesses or warping.Regarding the technical details, these candlesticks stand at a substantial height of 65 centimeters and measure 20 centimeters in width at the base. They carry a very significant weight of 6500 grams per candlestick, totaling 13 kilograms for the pair on the scale.Highly decorative pieces, perfect for framing an entrance, dressing a monumental fireplace, or lighting up a garden table with undeniable historical character. The photographs including a reference object allow for a proper appreciation of their generous volume and form an integral part of the condition description. Fast and professional shipping.
