The engraving depicts an heraldic or symbolic ship, with several masts and pennants, treated in a spirit close to the old maritime arms or mercantile corporations.
Fine intaglio engraving work intended for stamping in wax. A very decorative collectible item, comparable to civil or merchant seal matrices.
