Description from the seller
A prestigious and antique travel/handbag perfume bottle (flacon de poche) of French manufacture, dating to the late 19th century (Art Nouveau period). The object features a splendid and rich exterior with solid silver repoussé and chasing in two-tone floral motifs, alternated with elegant polished ribbed sections. The interior preserves its original intact glass core, essential at the time to protect and preserve the fragrance from direct contact with the metal. The neck of the bottle is threaded. On the cap is clearly pressed the official French hallmark of the “Head of Minerva,” certifying the authenticity and high content of the solid silver. The piece is presented in excellent aesthetic condition, with a vibrant luster and the normal, fascinating patina of time that attests to its authenticity.
