Large Ntomo mask with an antelope head resting on the top and front of the head.
On each side sits a figure.
Mask with five branches, rounded forehead, round eyes, a long, arena-shaped nose and a small relief-like mouth.
Scarifications on the face.
This type of mask refers to a moment in the mandatory instruction given to young, uncircumcised boys in Bambara society.
Dark patina.
It is in good condition; only one branch in the middle and at the rear has been repaired at its base.
Originating from the Bougouni region.
