This etching is a combination of vernis mou, etching, aquatint and drypoint. From three original impressions, the best has been chosen, the remaining two destroyed along with the etching plate.
Werner Rinia (1967) studied as a drawing teacher when he came into contact with the world of graphics. His passion for Clapton’s guitar playing led him to create this unique portrait. Drawing, however, was his great love, something he could pursue in practice as an art director/graphic designer at various advertising agencies. He is also still an active musician.
The work is provided with a beautiful passe-partout and, once framed, measures 30 x 40 cm. The image measures approx. 12 x 25 cm. It is in pristine condition.
The work will be carefully packaged and shipped, but because glass and mail don’t always get along, we view the frame as a gift that is not part of the auction.
