Prosper Lecourtier, a highly regarded sculptor, known for his extremely realistic animal creations with characteristic details. A telling example of this is the facial expression of the shepherd dog in this sculpture. Highly sought after by collectors. This sculpture was made in the late 19th century, 1890-1900.
