An exceptionally large and rare antique Bohemian toiletry box (jewelry box / dresser box) of good quality, dating from the fin de siècle (ca. 1890–1910).
The object is made of thick, vibrant turquoise-blue opaline glass and is fully handmade, as proven by the expertly flat and smoothly polished pontil mark on the underside.
Decoration & Fittings:
The lid and walls are adorned with high-quality, hand-painted relief enamel decoration.
The design features a striking modern and graphic pattern: a central, richly colored circle surrounded by stylized, minimalist floral motifs and clean, rhythmic beaded borders. The authentic brass mount fits closely around the glass and is equipped with a functional hinge, finely turned edges, elegant dangling ring handles at the sides, and rests on sturdy, classic ball feet.
