Description from the seller
Artwork “Need Money For” – Cartist
Artist: Cartist
Dimensions: 28 x 35 x 6 cm
With Need Money For, Cartist presents a work at the crossroads of contemporary art and car culture. Three iconic keys – Lamborghini, Porsche, Ferrari – are displayed like modern relics, objects of desire frozen in a minimalist setting. They embody power, speed and elegance, but above all the fantasy of luxury accessible to only a few.
The phrase at the top, “Need Money For,” functions as a raw, almost universal statement. It questions the relationship between dream and reality, between possession and aspiration, while playing with humor and candor. In the background, the emblems of the three legendary brands reinforce the symbolic impact of the composition.
The frame, sober and contemporary, enhances the whole with a precision almost museological. A high-quality synthetic glass provides optimal protection while allowing the light to highlight the lines and materials.
More than a decorative work, Need Money For is a mise en abyme of luxury codes, a bittersweet critique of our consumer society, and a deliberate homage to automotive obsession.
