Mivar Milano - Space Age Radio

Beautiful AM-FM radio model "R48" produced by the famous Mivar of Milan in the 1960s.

A fashion object with a gorgeous appearance and highly decorative, in Space Age style, excellent for window displays or domestic use.

Made of orange-colored ABS plastic with a front control panel in aluminum and edges clad in chrome-plated brass sheet. The knobs are resin with an aluminum coating. Of the very highest quality!

Aesthetically well-preserved in excellent vintage condition, it has been cleaned and presents very well. no cracks or breaks, only light signs of wear and patina of time; all visible in the photos which are an integral part of the description.

Complete with rear panel also in ABS plastic.

The radio is functional, has been serviced by a qualified technician and receives stations. Obviously the sound is vintage as well but that’s its charm; the only thing is that it has a faint background hum that is noticeable only at low volume, at high volume you don’t hear it, let's say it helps to render the sound vintage and thrilling.
