Exceptionally handsome antique pleated dish. A Delft blue plate with a scalloped edge. Early 18th century, hand-painted.
The decoration: a typical central bouquet of flowers or floral basket with stylized motifs and geometric panels (cartouches) along the rim, strongly inspired by the then-popular Chinese porcelain (Chinoiserie)
Light damage to the rim.
Dimensions: 23.5 x 5 cm.

Bijzonder fraaie antieke plooischotel. Een Delfts blauw bord met geschulpte rand. Eerste helft 18e eeuw, handbeschilderd.
Het decor: Een typisch centraal
bloemboeket of bloemenmand met
gestileerde bloemmotieven en geometrische vakken (cartouches) langs de rand, sterk geinspireerd op het destijds populaire Chinese porselein (Chinoiserie)
Lichte schade aan de rand.
Doorsnede 23,5 x 5 cm.
