Antique Tabernacle - 60 cm - Antique - Wood - 1800-1850

Painted wooden altar tabernacle, Venetian-style lacquer in blue-gray and gold leaf, with base board, of good workmanship and attributable to Italian production of the 19th century, from the Veneto area.

Dimensions: height 60 cm, width 40 cm, depth 25 cm.

The structure features a refined lacquer in a delicate powder-blue shade (carta da zucchero), enhanced by carved profiles and gold leaf. The door centers on a figure of a Eucharistic chalice with the IHS symbol incised by graving tool, the background lacquered lapis lazuli color with marble effect. The interior is lined with damask fabric, with signs of use but still intact.

The lock is functional and accompanied by a period-appropriate key.

Condition: overall good for its age. The gilding shows physiological wear and some localized gaps; the lacquer shows small color losses. No recent structural interventions are evident.
