Grand natural specimen of the giant Triton (Charonia tritonis), marine gastropod in the family Charoniidae.

Imposing piece with its 31 cm length, featuring a broad flared aperture and a massive shell in cream white, beige and orange-brown tones.

The shell has a beautiful decorative presence despite imperfect conservation tied notably to its age and handling. It will suit both a shell collection and a cabinet of curiosities or a naturalist decoration.

Condition : condition of an antique collection with signs of wear. The spire shows significant erosion and the surface has several areas of wear. There is a circular area on the shell that may correspond to an old fixation or alteration. The lip also shows chips and small losses.
