Description from the seller

Splendid vintage vase in Murano art glass from the 1960s, made with the renowned Sommesso Glass technique. The design is attributed to the C.O.V.E.M. (Vetreria Artistica) manufactory, an icon of Italian mid-century modernism.

The piece stands out for a central core of deep ruby red, wrapped by elegant concentric layers of emerald green and amber yellow, all enclosed in a massive block of transparent glass.

The upper edge, shaped like a beak or a petal, gives dynamism and sinuosity to the structure, which is solid, heavy and of great visual impact.
