Handmade foldable wooden Goose Game, carved and polychromed – Probably second half of the 20th century
Rare handmade Goose Game crafted in solid wood, composed of four hinged panels that allow closing the board to transform it into an elegant container.
The entire game path is hand-engraved on the wood and ends with the distinctive inscription "Here the game ends", also carved. The corners of the board feature hand-carved reliefs painted by hand with figurative and ornamental motifs.
The construction, with brass hinges and foldable panels, indicates good-quality artisanal craftsmanship. No maker's marks, signatures, or labels were detected.
The searches carried out did not reveal identical copies on the collectibles market, an element that suggests limited production or a piece made by an artisan workshop.
