Towel (2) - 120 cm - 78 cm - Ancient trousseaus

Two large antique linen towels in pure linen, composed as an old-lot.
Natural fabric with no trace of synthetics.
Both have the same monogram embroidered with red and blue embroidery thread.
They feature an openwork hem at the top and bottom edges.
Finished with lace to which hand-made fringes have been attached.
Washed in the past but never used.
Having remained unused for decades, they show light age lines due to long storage in old chests, which disappear with washing.
