Description from the seller

A stunning, authentic French Art Nouveau mantel clock with figural ornamentation, dating from the late 19th to early 20th centuries (c. 1890–1910).

Sculpture: A beautiful, finely detailed figure of a young woman in flowing classical drapery, gracefully scattering grain from her apron. The sculpture is mounted on a lifelike plinth signed by the artist and features an embedded brass plaque bearing the title "La Semeuse par Aug. Moreau."

Clock Case and Base: The clock rests on a heavy, high-quality plinth of multicolored green marble with stepped architectural angles. Decoration: The piece is adorned with rich gilded Rococo elements and floral garlands and rests on four intricately cast scroll feet.

Dial: Features a clear white porcelain-enamel dial with elegant numerals, protected by a glass bezel and framed by a decorative gilded ring.

Movement: Traditional French 8-day mechanical movement with two winding shafts.
