Grundig Ocean Boy, also known as the Transistor 3001.

Impressively beautiful sound!
The Ocean Boy 209 is an iconic, high-quality portable transistor radio and world receiver, produced by the German brand Grundig around 1969–1970. The radio is known for its excellent reception quality, robust build, and the distinctive warm sound of that era.
Nice reception on:
FM, with 8 preset stations that are easy to set + 1 knob for direct manual tuning.
MW (very good reception of English stations in the Netherlands).
LW (today doesn’t amount to much).
KW four separate bands, some stations very well received; reception also depends on region and time, but that also applies to FM and MW.

Large original antenna
The buyer receives an adapter for mains operation, but also a connection with a 9V clip and 9V battery.
The advantage is, of course, that the 9V clip with battery pack can also be used for other devices with center+ input adapters.
Also the original battery connector is still present.
So wireless listening is also possible indoors or outdoors!

Today, the Ocean Boy 209 is a beloved collectible among vintage audio enthusiasts. Because of the built-in DIN port, many audio enthusiasts modify the radio with an adapter cable. This makes it easy to connect a smartphone or Bluetooth receiver to stream Spotify or other audio through the warm vintage amplifier.
