Vintage Japanese Yanagiba & Takobiki Knife Set – "Hon Mitsuhiko Ukeai (本光彦請合)" – Traditional Single-Bevel Kitchen Knives

A fine pair of authentic vintage Japanese kitchen knives consisting of a traditional Yanagiba (sashimi knife) and a Takobiki knife, representing the elegance and functionality of traditional Japanese cutlery.

The Yanagiba bears the maker's mark "本光彦請合" (Hon Mitsuhiko Ukeai).

The Takobiki no longer has a visible maker's mark. Considering the repeated sharpening over many years of use, it is possible that the original signature gradually wore away over time.

The Yanagiba is designed for producing clean, precise slices of sashimi and sushi toppings, while the Takobiki, distinguished by its long, straight blade, is ideal for preparing sashimi and seafood with smooth, uninterrupted cutting strokes.
