Master photographer Kishin Shinoyama creates this book of Japanese erotica rich in symbols. In the photographs, nudity is paired with vibrant kimonos, a game of kamifusen (paper balloons), a round lacquered mirror, interiors in a traditional wooden Japanese house, tatami floors, and a lovely onsen (traditional Japanese bath) that serve as the setting for these images, where the naked or semi-naked body blends with the melancholic face of the beloved awaiting the arrival of her lover. A form of Japanese erotica difficult to find in the West. The book is large-format, 40 x 29.5 cm, is very well printed and comes with its original box.
