Description from the seller
Spectacular and masterful free-form tentacle centerpiece (often attributed to the iconic "Splash" line by René Delvenne) in solid two-tone crystal, from the prestigious Belgian crystal works Val Saint Lambert. A true feat of mid-century glass craftsmanship from the 1950s-1960s, this piece beautifully captures the energy of organic design, unfolding a cranberry-pink core from which long, tapered clear crystal arms extend. The hot-worked shaping creates a striking architectural dynamism, perfect for catching and amplifying the light in your interior (a piece with such a fierce yet elegant appearance that it seems almost ready to defend the fruits or chocolates you place on it). Unsigned beneath its polished pontil base, its distinctive silhouette and the purity of its crystal unmistakably signify its noble provenance. The piece remains in good overall aesthetic condition and retains its original brilliant transparency. For full commercial transparency, please note the marks of its age and handcrafted origin: a surface scratch and a small internal shard or burst bubble, both visible in close-up details, blemishes that fade once the piece is placed in your decor. Regarding specifications, this centerpiece spans an impressive 53 cm in length, 23 cm in width, stands 13 cm tall, and weighs a substantial 2750 g. A highly decorative collector’s item, ideal for dressing a large modernist sideboard or serving as a dramatic centerpiece. Please carefully study the detailed photographs, which serve as the visual description. The package will be packed with ultra-secure protective materials and shipped with full tracking.
