Candlestick (2) - .800 silver - Pair of Silver Candlesticks

Splendid antique candlesticks that are also historical markers, they are excellent collectible pieces due to provenance, dating, and the absence of ballast. They are entirely made of .800 silver, as indicated by the oval hallmark. There is a lozenge-shaped mark showing the fasces of the Littorio, useful for dating (the 1930s/1940s). It seems to read the initials MI, placing the piece among the famous silverware of the Lombard city, and the number 13 identifying the prestigious Ceso 1882 silverware (supplier to the Royal House of Savoy). The candlesticks belong to the Art Deco period combined with the solemnity of the Empire Style (in the feet and gadrooned). Collectible pieces in excellent condition, they do not show dents or deformities despite the lack of ballast and the work carried out in a single silver rod. Height: 23 cm. Base: 9.5 x 9.5 cm.
