Distinct Baule monkey, originating from Côte d'Ivoire.
This is a power statue, representing nature spirits, possessing an aggressive and protective character against the unknown, witchcraft or enemies.

The present statuette features excellent sculptural execution, with the elegance of the back as well as the entire jawline being an example of this fact (observe the photos carefully).
Crack from drying and partial native repair on the face and the right foot.
