Brockwitz - Cake stand - High-silica glass - Cake plate

Art Deco-style molded-pressed glass cake stand, dating from the 1920s–1930s, created by the Brockwitz glassworks.

Central straight, cylindrical, fluted stem resting on a flared circular base adorned with a geometric diamond-point motif. This precise design closely resembles a Luxval model from Val Saint Lambert, but it perfectly matches the productions of the Brockwitz glassworks in Germany.
Like its Belgian counterpart, they used a silica-rich blend to achieve a brilliance and a resonance close to that of crystal.
