Keramis Boch - Table service (3) - D3175 - Creamware, Gold - Keramis Service

Lot of three coordinated-shaped pieces in glazed earthenware from the Belgian manufacture Boch Frères La Louvière (Keramis), dating from the late 1930s, around 1938–1939. This decorative ensemble brings together a large circular display plate, a flat lidded box, and a slender baluster vase with a narrow neck. The three pieces share the archive decor referenced under number "D 3175", applied on an ivory-white glazed background. The motif consists of a dense network of branches, stylized leaves and small berries molded in light relief. The entirety of this botanical decor is hand-painted in brilliant gold, creating plays of light and textured material contrasts (an absolute chic look, ideal for housing your fine chocolates or giving your seasonal flowers the appearance of palace sculptures). The box features a conical lid topped with a geometrically faceted gilded knob, while the vase presents a fluid silhouette with a pronounced shoulder. The overall condition is good, the set showing a total net weight of 1650 g. The plate, with a diameter of 27 cm, a height of 7 cm, and a weight of 800 g, shows normal signs of use for its age, characterized by rubbing and localized losses of gilding on the reliefs of the decor and on the rim of the upper edge. Conversely, the lidded box and the vase are in exceptional vintage condition, free of wear, with a pristine glaze and gilding still fresh. For the hollowware pieces, the box weighs 500 g, with a height of 10 cm and a diameter of 13 cm, while the vase weighs 350 g, with a height of 16 cm, a maximum diameter of 8 cm and a neck opening of 4 cm. The reverses bear the official workshop markings traced by hand in gold. Please refer to the photographs to appreciate the details of the gilding and glazing.
